Before you do me wrong, make sure you never need me again. those are words i wish i had spoken sooner, words that would have saved me from the heartache and pain that you brought into my life.but now, I'm speaking to them to you, loud and clear. before you decide to hurt me, to betray me, or to walk away, make sure you're prepared to never have me by your side again.
because once you cross that line, once you do me wrong, there's no going back. i won't be there to pick up the pieces, to wipe away your tears, or to forgive you for your mistakes.
i deserve better than to be treated like a doormat, like a person who can be used and discarded at your whim. i deserve respect, kindness, and compassion. and if you can't give me those things, then maybe it's time for us to part ways.
so, before you do me wrong, make sure you never need me again. make sure you're prepared to lose me, to lose my love, my support, and my friendship. because once you've lost me, you'll realize too late that i was the best thing that ever happened to you.
